This year’s Lambeth Business Awards, sponsored by Barclays Business, promises to be the biggest and best yet.
Entries are currently being invited in 12 categories and Barclays have a prestigious list of backers who are urging the borough’s most innovative businesses to come forward and use the opportunity to showcase their success stories.
Thorsten Seeger, Regional Business Director for Barclays Business in south London said: “Lambeth is a very entrepreneurial borough with a diverse range of successful businesses.
“We believe the awards are a great opportunity to celebrate their achievements. The wealth of local talent is very impressive and Barclays Business is proud to be the sponsor of the Lambeth Business Awards 2012.”
Now in their fifth year, the Lambeth Business Awards, boasts several influential backers including Lambeth Council and media partner South London Press, which has been serving the area since 1865.
Other sponsors are Lambeth First, MJF Group, London South Bank University, NHS Lambeth, Veolia Environmental Services and Lambeth College.
Ross Feeney, Director of Business Support for South London Business Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have so many of Lambeth’s key players involved in this year’s Lambeth Business Awards.
“Despite the difficult economic climate, there continues to be a huge wealth of success stories among Lambeth’s businesses, including many new start-ups establishing themselves in the borough as well as some amazing business development and growth.
“This is a testament to the drive, determination and entrepreneurship of Lambeth’s business leaders and it is these qualities that the awards allow us to celebrate.”
Entry to the awards is free but anyone interested in taking part should act now – the deadline date is 3 February 2012.
The awards are open to all businesses based in the borough of Lambeth and will culminate in a gala dinner and awards ceremony at the Kia Oval in March. Guests will enjoy a drinks reception and a three-course meal before the winners are announced.
A raffle and silent auction will be held during dinner with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s chosen charities.
