There is less than a month to go to the closing date of the 2011 Lambeth Business Awards. The closing date for entries is 24th January 2011 – so if you think your business is the best in Lambeth you should get your entry in without delay.
The annual talent search, organised by Lambeth Council and Lambeth First, aims to recognise the huge contribution made by private businesses in the borough. The competition is open to all Lambeth-based businesses, from sole-traders to large employers, so whether you are a market trader or a major operator there is something for you. Antoine Detrie, Lambeth’s Best Young Entrepreneur for 2010 said “Since winning my award I have received so much publicity and it has given me the impetus to drive my company even further forward”.
There are 12 award categories ranging from best Young Entrepreneur to Lambeth’s Favourite Business – and winners will share a £10,000 cash prize fund. Lambeth’s Council’s cabinet member forRegeneration, Planning, Employment and Enterprise, Cllr Sally Prentice said: “Lambeth is a dynamic and vibrant borough with a wealth of business talent and great potential. The awards demonstrate that Lambeth’s business community is thriving, and that Lambeth is a great place to do business and to invest”.
The winners of the Lambeth Business Awards will be announced at a prestigious dinner on March 24th at the BRIT Oval. Tickets are already on sale at £59.50 + VAT and over 300 local businesses and entrepreneurs are expected to attend.
